This initially came into fruition due to the "NO" orange lanyards that were floating about last year. Little birdie told me that SD made the comment that Delta pilots are not going to be walking billboards. This has been in the works for awhile and the comedy on the timing couldn't be better.

That was just added, IMO, in an attempt to camouflage the timing of this directive. (a poor attempt, I might add).

"No, no! This doesn't have anything to do with ALPA orange lanyards. We are just standardizing manuals..... Nothing to see here."

I had Fred Rogers on a flight back in the 90's and got to talk with him a bit. Absolutely the most gentlemanly dude I've ever met. This clip only solidifies my respect for the man. He had a huge reserve of cool in the tank.

BTW, are random LCAs wandering the terminals in a line pukes chain of command? I know some of them will be wearing the orange but there are some of the other type too that may have an opinion about the lanyards.

Uniform compliance is a Chief pilots office job, not a LCA's.

Consider me an "outlier" on this "rah-rah" support the union, wear the orange ALPO lanyard movement. Support a union that absolutely crushed me on the "merger" seniority integration? Support a union that tried to ram C2015 down our throats? Support a union that greedily took a portion of our profit sharing checks today? I was a "NO" voter and will vote NO! on every contract the remainder of my career. Thanks ALPO! Kinda sick and tired of 64 year old guys wearing college lanyards or football team lanyards. Quit living in the past.......

That is a great idea. If I can't fight for our contract, I'm happy to support Delta.
