Threw it in my bag and figured I'd get it all switched out on my trip. Then I see the ring. I will figure out a way to make it work. I haven't worn anything ALPA in a very long time but I will show my support...but this thing seems about as well thought out as our contractual JV language.

If you come up with the pilot proof setup please post it.

I'm no MacGyver and I hate hanging stuff around my neck, including a tie. I will wear the lanyard though, small sacrifice. I even dug out my ALPA 15 (really 19 this year) pin and put it where the ID was. I can't remember the last time I wore that.

Interesting yesterday. The NYC crew lounge had a pitiful showing of orange when I first stopped in. Went back later in the day when all the Int'l guys were signing in. They brought it strong...like 80% orange. Nice!

dont listen to timbo (no offense dude). Think about it. You **** off the LCA or regular captain you are flying with and they will find something to write you up for. not worth it. everyone knows whats going on...you falling on your sword is not the answer......plus if you **** off enough people you may never get past probation and then not be able to vote think of it as a tactical silence

I spent the last two days at recurrent in the ATL, wearing my lanyard, nobody said boo about it. In fact, two IP's were not happy that their fleet Captain had said they aren't supposed to wear it.
Anyone got any stats on how many new hires have been let go while 'on probation'? Any? If you pizz off enough people while on probation to be written up, it's probably because of your mouth, not your lanyard. Wear it and keep your pie hole shut.
