Remember, if any dipstick asks you to remove it, get his name and employee number, pull out your pen and let him watch you write it down, note the date, place and time, then tell him you will be giving that information to the Union, and he may be named in the upcoming lawsuit for not abiding by our contract, which allows us 6 months to comply with any new changes to our uniforms.

Fk these idiots.

As an aside, I had a 10 minute conversation with the JFK CP last week while wearing my new orange lanyard, he didn't say boo about it. I wonder if there's been a new edict from Sleepy Ed this week?

If you are in a public place ask someone to record the professional exchange via cell phone video and submit that documentation to DALPA.

So let's say a guy/gal is brand new...on probation. Is it worth him/her wearing an orange lanyard before 401 hours or should he/she just wear the black ALPA issued lanyard until such time? I know ALPA (JM) sent these puppies out to ALL pilots for a reason.

Don't wear it on probation. They sent it out to everyone because a) it wasn't worth the trouble to sort who's on probation from who isn't, and b) because a lot of pilots on probation will be off probation before we have a contract. I don't speak for the union but I doubt you'll hear a different opinion from anyone.

Wear the black one but keep the orange one handy because any newbie will likely be off probation before the next TA is produced. Best to keep a low profile on probation. 😊

If you're on probation just put the orange one over your roll a board handle but take it with you if you park your bag or someone might walk off with it.

Absolutely not. I know it won't be easy, but you need to nod and grin for 400 hours.

No issues in the ATL lounge with multiple CPs and flight ops personnel making eye contact. Wear it with pride and confidence!

Haven't had any chief in SLC say anything, although I'm not sure if we have chief pilots in Salt Lake.
