Lanyard Policy

My rep says no known issues with the lanyard. No one has reported being challenged. They are good to go.

They are coming in the standard US Mail, in a small yellow soft sided bag, about 5" square. Your post man may be wearing yours!

Lanyard cost
I paid $3000+ for this lanyard. Do the math, so did all of us (ALPA is not an option at new-hire class...join, or you pay to not play). So, $3,000 of my money paid for our representation and another $700 of my profit-sharing went to my Reps to act responsibly with our company. This year alone, I spent 21 times than the 2ndLt spent on his engagement ring! She's still wearing it and explaining it to anyone that asks! Restore! Wonder why we have the most professional "Professional Pilots" in the industry? Look at what we, the Pilots, do for the safety, on-time, and best Customer Service in the industry. Hold The Line! Wear and SUPPORT the movement!

There is a case of somebody on the widget forum being told directly by the NYC CP to remove the lanyard. A friend of mine was told it was an illegal lanyard during cq -- while wearing civilian clothing! I happened to have a DGS guy in the jumpseat yesterday and he confirmed that leadership has directed all instructors to tell students in the sim they are not supposed to be wearing the orange lanyard. The instructors are not to enforce the policy or make a big deal over it, but they are supposed to pass the message.
