Thanks. I figured that would be the safest course of action.

If a CP asks about it, just tell him the Captain ORDERED you to wear it!

"Just following orders Sir!"

Just get used to nodding and grinning for 400 hours.

In the words of Marsellus Wallace: "The night of the fight, you may feel a slight sting. That's pride ******ing with you. ****** pride. Pride only hurts, it never helps".

At least until you're off probation. After that I choose to disagree with Mr. Wallace.

I've been looking at backpacks for work. I wanted one after I was told to keep my on. But the FOM says no backpacks.

I'm confused. I'm being told to wear one and told not to wear one.

Tell 'em it's a "comfort lanyard", prescribed by a counselor.

So far so good with lanyard wear! It appears the CPO has not been interfering or even discussing lanyards with the pilots so feel free to comfortably wear your orange (if youre not on probation).

The lanyard policy is no longer found on DeltaNet. There is a bulletin reference in ICrew to the expanded policy in DeltaNet which no longer exists. I can't find it in the online FOM either. It looks like the company decided not to push the issue.
