Excellent C44 Endorsement Letter
Fellow ATL C44 Pilots,
Our C44 LEC Election is the most important in DALPA's history. Your vote will make a difference and much rests in our hands right here at home in C44. If you support pursuing a TA that reflects your actual value and worth to Delta as I do, there is only one group of C44 candidates running that leaves no doubt they are in line with your will and goals.
Sam DeRosa
Scott Martin (Write In Alpa# 0961094 to vote for Scott Martin)
Jimmy Johnson
Chris Kern
Voting for candidates who supported the recently failed substandard TA will yield the same results, another substandard agreement.
A pilot's vote on the TA clearly indicates if it was good enough and for Sawtelle, Douds, Thomas, O'Mahoney and Nestor it was. If they now believe that was a substandard agreement they have not conveyed that message in their campaign writings. Previous actions and behavior are a good indicator of future conduct. Here is our experience with the Candidates who supported the recently failed TA, a solid base line to gauge from:
Steve Douds:
Voted YES on the TA and supported it.
Was deeply involved with FAR 117. Willingly accepted the company's interpretations to the detriment of the pilots. Resulted in Auto Crew Duty Extension, and almost resulted in 8 hours behind the hotel door instead of 8 hours sleep opportunity.
Doesn't consider write in's are even qualified and attacks other candidates.
Bill Sawtelle:
Voted YES on TA. Supported & Promoted it as well.
"Liked" Ron Mullis's divisive hate filled words against NO voters.
Worked almost daily (hand in hand) with the Special Committee.
Joe Thomas:
Voted YES on TA. HECK, he LOVES IT.
Has plainly expressed his opinion about sick leave abuse and FO's abusing LCA PWA scheduling rules and how the TA language was spot on in his opinion.
Kevin O'Mahoney:
Voted YES on TA and supported the TA.
Wrote the "True Headings".
Calls Restoration "Stupid".
Currently still sings the song of NMB purgatory hands down is in our future.
Was a key member of, wrote and worked for the Special Committee.
Admits that writing "Maskirovka" was itself a deceptive tactic (or in other words it was Maskirovka) and is quite pleased and proud of it by his own words.
Poor communication skills and a lack of respect to perspective future constituents.
David Nestor:
Voted YES on the TA.
Voted YES also as YOUR LEC Representative at the MEC and passed the buck.
Started out saying it was only to pass it on to the pilots and would not SELL it.
Ended up SELLING it, and . . . hard.
In his own com to C44 pilots equated voting YES as being smart & voting NO as the irresponsible, emotional and easy (lazy) vote.
These gentlemen certainly have considerable ALPA experience. What their letters fail to tell us is their ALPA experience has continued in line with a bankruptcy mentality. Their letters indicate they have changed their stripes (with the exception of Thomas)? When they hit the ground running, what direction do you think it will be? Is it the direction you want?
If your goals include a change from bankruptcy style leadership and bankruptcy style results the choice is clear:
Sam DeRosa
Scott Martin (Write In Alpa# 0961094 to vote for Scott Martin)
Jimmy Johnson
Chris Kern
VOTE by logging on to https://dal.alpa.org/ and selecting the green BALLOT OPEN! tab.
Note: You may also log back on and change your vote at any time prior to Nove. 10th at 10 am.
