As I was driving home from MCO the other day I heard on the radio news (96.5 FM) that Emirates is setting up a "Reflection Room" at the airport, for their passengers to pray before the flight I guess.

Emirates starts service from MCO to Dubai on Sept. 1. Delta is reducing to 5 days a week, from daily ATL-DXB service on October 1.

Hello Cruise Ship Industry! Get ready, it's coming. I hope you all called your Congressmen and Senators and took part in the Call to Action to support Fair Skies.

With $6 bln in DAL share buybacks DAL could have chosen to compete and ultimately built a stronger airline going forward. Instead our management team chose to appease hedge fund managers to keep the stock pumped up while they execute their options.

Scope, you either have it or you don't. We keep selling it away and only a strike will bring it back. Look left and right gents, your scope selling brothers are just as guilty as management.

Even more amazing when one considers that those were bought in a range from $18.5 to $21.5 million. All-together something like $11Bn and some did not even fly 10 years.

Also short lived in Delta colors ...

What's your point? Shouldn't you be working on settling scope disputes for pennies on the dollar?

There is also a plan to refurbish mothballed pilots.
(Many of us were never furbished in the first place.)

Who Hoo!

It is very easy to throw stones as a keyboard warrior. Playing devil's advocate here--

How do you feel about the reverse of your scenario that plays out at AMS and CDG everyday?? (With 15+/day in Summer)

(I couldn't find a pic of LHR, but we have way more than 5 flights a day there too.)

Well...somebody has to feed all those KLM and Air France A380's!

Do you think all those Virgin 747's in MCO are feeding any passengers to Delta? Because they aren't.

I'm just glad we didn't change the measure metric from seat miles to block hours, or one of our 757/767's would equal one of their A380 and 777-300's.

Save the "3", ten to twelve years is all you could get out of those buckets. EGT's on the 880 were not to be believed. The pressurization turbos threw craps 4 years in. Anyway, the AF wanted their J79's back.
