Response From Two ATL Reps Asked to Step Down
Dear Sir,
Now that the results are out and the pilot group has spoken, It is time for the Leadership of Council 44 to step aside. You and the others fully ignored the wishes of the pilots you represent and it was an absolute lack of professionalism displayed in the pilot lounges pushing this substandard T/A, with your half-truths and fear mongering.
Since this as you said “was the best we can get”, you have no credibility left to continue in your position. We thank you for your service, but if you have any self-respect and integrity left, you would best serve the pilots of council 44 by tendering your resignation immediately and saving us the trouble of recalling you from office.
Sincerely,
Capt. XXXX

Here are the replies from both of them. You will see they both send the same canned response probably given to them by their handlers. Sad really. It's like an ex GF hanging around your house after you told her you're not interested.
"Resignation is certainly an option. I don't remember seeing the "no" voting reps resign after C2012 was ratified and approved in every council. We have a great deal of work ahead of us. We are still in section 6. We have C44 elections this fall and routine council business, including representing pilots in the CPO. Mass resignations might feel good, but I'm not sure if it's in the best interests of the pilots I represent, or what they want. I do serve at the pleasure of the pilots of C44, they do have the tools available to recall me if they desire. If they choose to do so I will respect their decision. Once again thank you for writing and I'll consider your suggestion."

Very similar e-mails. 44 has got to go!!!! Gonna have to do it the Hard way. If it wasn't so sad, it'd be funny, what with them being virtually identical canned responses. I guess they must have prepared these responses well ahead of time, in preparation of the inevitable? Taken from the, "What to do if asked to resign," ALPA manual?

So you're in ATL, but talking about NYC reps?
Considering you're running, you're embarassing yourself. Add Armando and David to the list of people who have more class than you.
You got the vote you wanted. Present an agenda to get the Delta pilots the gains they deserve, or keep it shut. Asking people to step down isn't the path. Have some courage, and present a plan, or step aside for someone who will.
As for representation in NYC, respectfully, we'll take care of things ourselves, thank you very much.

Yoy're not NYC-based, so I don't need to describe how immature and unprepared you look right now. I guess you're not going to run as MtEverest?
