thats my concern also, that attitude has been running rampant within the union and p2p crowd. its unfortunately applying even more stink onto alpa than there already was which ultimately may bring the hammer.

It's a no-brainer. I just hope they have the integrity to resign and spare us the distasteful duty of recalling them.
There should be a list of all of the things MD and others said about what would happen post TA. See if it matches what they say in subsequent public forums and mailings.

But DN and Armando are ATL.
Which is what Tex said:
Which you then responded about NYC

So I'm confused. Where is the NYC stuff coming from? He is a C44 pilot, wrote to C44 reps?
You should be confused. Those posts from Sinkr8 were just plain incoherent.

The ALPA guys are clearly shell-shocked right now. Understandably.
They should just go silent for awhile and take time to reflect.
Their next moves are going to be watched very closely.
They better get it right.

Yoy're not NYC-based, so I don't need to describe how immature and unprepared you look right now. I guess you're not going to run as MtEverest?
Hopefully that platform isn't "We will push for improving the contract of the Delta pilot up until the point the company says 'There's no more money on the table.' And when it's time to give concessions (oh yes, you have to give concessions, because it's a negotiation) we'll be sure to not work out all the details. No, instead we'll just explain how the concessions are what's best for you, because we don't expect you to read the actual TA." Because that platform didn't work out too well.

Guys, sorry for the confusion. I posted the email response that was given to another captain who asked the ATL reps to step down. That was not my letter. I'm a 73 captain.

You seem more concerned about my "platform" than I do. If I run and my fellow pilots like what they see or do not, then so be it. At the end of the day I will do everything in my power (including supporting other pilot bases) to purge this pilot group of the blowhards that have been diminishing our bargaining power. I could care less about any political aspirations. I have none. I just want what is best for this pilot group.

I bet they won't resign, and that right there is proof the Delta Pilot is not their top priority as Representatives.

Because if we were they would realize the exact point you're making: They said a better TA could not be achieved, so they pushed it--pushed it with everything they had.

And thus they would see the conflict of interest: An untenable position of saying their objective is to get a better TA when they've said it can't happen.

To not resign means they don't care if it takes LECs and the MEC longer to form a new NC. In essence, they want to drag it out longer to do their best to prove they were right--to vindicate themselves in having said it would likely take years (like FedEx, SWA) to get an agreement. And even better is to somehow stay in their positions--then they can really show the group how right they were: It took longer and they didn't get anything better to overcome the loss of TVM. LEC reps who voted No in '12 weren't in a position to string out future negotiations because the deal was done. To use that comparison is to be intellectually dishonest. Maybe that's not a problem for them.

I thought it was just me. Glad I'm not crazy. Between learning this and the TA vote today, I'm like...
