Default Upcoming Recall of the Yes 18

We all need to be involved in the recalls of the Yes 18.

Let's focus on one meeting at a time. Who has the next LEC meeting?

Everyone contact all the fellow pilots they know in that base. Ask them to attend the meeting with 3 proxies.

We all need to check schedules to see who is getting flight pay loss to attend the meeting.

They will stop at nothing to keep power.

Get involved and attain the PWA that reflects our sacrifice and contribution.

A fair agreement that shares the success we created with the billions in Delta pilot concessions.

The process can be found in the ALPA CBL's.

Article III ALPA Constitution and By-Laws
27
F. RECALL OF LOCAL COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE OR OFFICER
At a Local Council meeting, which has been called to consider, among other things, a recall, such Local
Council, by a majority vote of the Active members in good standing of that council then present, and
valid proxies, may request the Vice President-Administration/Secretary to initiate and circulate a
ballot among the Active members of such Local Council for the removal of a Local Council Status
Representative or Officer, said ballot to be conducted under Association Voting Procedures. Such
ballots shall be validated and tallied under the supervision of the Election and Ballot Certification
Board who shall certify the results and notify the Vice President-Administration/Secretary. The Vice
President-Administration/Secretary shall promptly mail a copy of the certification of results to the
members of the Local Council.

The Local Council meeting to consider recall:

Article III ALPA Constitution and By-Laws
28
D. NOTICE OF MEETINGS

(1) Notice of all regular Local Council meetings shall be given by written notice as far in advance as
is practicable and shall be in receipt of the member not less than twenty-four (24) hours before the
time designated for such meetings, except as provided in subparagraph (2) below. Such notice shall
include the time, place and agenda for the meeting. Any Active member in good standing may submit
agenda items to the Local Council Chairman for inclusion in the published agenda in the meeting
notice. Such items shall be in writing. Any agenda item may be introduced by a member at a regular
Council meeting.

(2) Notice of regular Local Council meetings called to consider Nomination of Representatives, as
provided in Section 7B of this Article, or to consider Nomination and Election of an Interim Status
Representative, as provided in Section 2E of this Article, or to consider recall of a Local Council
Representative or Officer, as provided in Section 2F of this Article, or to vote on a Local Council
assessment in accordance with Article IX, Section 7B, shall be mailed by the Vice President-
Administration/Secretary to each member at his last known home address not less than fifteen (15)
days prior to the date of such meeting.

(4) Notice of special Local Council meetings called to consider Nomination of Representatives,
Nomination and Election of Interim Status Representatives, the recall of a Local Council
Representative or Officer, or to vote on a Local Council assessment shall be mailed by the Vice
President-Administration/Secretary to each member at his last known home address not less than
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of such meeting.

E. VOTING

At all meetings of a Local Council, all questions coming before such Council shall be decided by a
majority vote of the Local Council members in attendance (including valid proxies except as provided
in the following sentence) and each Active Local Council member in good standing shall have one (1)
vote. Proxies may not be used for secret ballots required in Article III, Section 2E(3) (Interim Status
Representatives); Article III, Section 7A(1) (Nomination of Representatives); Article IV, Section 2B
(Strike Votes); Article IX, Section 7B (Assessments), and ALPA's contract ratification procedures.

G. PROXIES

Proxies for a Local Council meeting must be in writing, from an Active member in good standing, and
for the specific subjects listed on the published agenda. Stated on the proxy must be the name of the
person issuing the proxy, the person to whom issued, and the subjects covered by the proxy. No
member shall be able to vote more than three (3) proxies. Proxies may be used in any vote by secret
ballot in a Local Council meeting except those votes enumerated in Section 3E of this Article.

Side note on Quorums:

F. QUORUM
At all regular or special meetings of a Local Council, the Active members in good standing who remain
in attendance shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, except that at any special
meeting called verbally or on less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice, a quorum shall consist of twenty
percent (20%) of the Active members of the Council.

Side note on Special LEC meetings:

C. SPECIAL LOCAL COUNCIL MEETINGS
A special meeting of the Local Council may be called by the Chairman at any time, and shall be called
by the Chairman upon written request by the Master Executive Council, the President of the
Association, or two or more Local Council Officers. The Officer or Officers requesting such special
meeting shall state the agenda for inclusion in the Chairman's published notice. When the President
of the Association is petitioned in writing by thirty percent (30%) of the Active members in good
standing of a Local Council, he shall, within fifteen (15) days, direct the Vice President-
Administration/Secretary to call a special meeting. The Vice President-Administration/Secretary shall
publish notice of the time and place of the meeting, and the agenda items included in the petition?

As a DTW pilot, I do all that I can.

I will be calling every pilot I know in the bases where the Yes 18 are being recalled. Asking them to attend and carry proxies.

As you know, once they are recalled we can remove the entire shadow MEC.

If I were based in one of the Councils where the capt rep is a yes voter, I would definitely run against them. Or run to replace them after they are recalled.

I hope that you and everyone else on this forum will do the same.

Is it incorrect for me to assume you want your new reps to re-staff their players?

Just trying to think this through and figure out if you have an actionable plan. The current MEC, acting as a pretty cohesive team, needed about a year to move forward on a "high speed low drag" push for a TA. Your new team, if fully in place by April or May next year would have us in this same spot by mid 17, which is when some version of this team will be working on C2018.

Surely you disagree, but realistically, what are your expectations?
I don't know if every Rep that voted "yes" needs to be recalled, but certainly based on some of the writings and actions of some, I would surely support it. If the TA passes, then it is a moot point as far as time. If it fails, we have at least 2 to 3 years of mediation anyway, so we will have time to get some new people up to speed right? (Tic)

I respectfully disagree.

Management's thirst for concessions will only increase.

Read their June monthly update.

Parking 747s, 757s, 767s, MD 88s, as well as introducing A 350s, 787s and 190s coupled with massive pilot retirements is more than they can handle.

They will be back within 12 months looking for us to take yet more concessions to solve the nightmare they created.

The "yes" voters are the problem, not the solution. Why on earth would you want any of them to remain?

Buck

We have much at risk, we have to remove the players who have failed us so completely.

We cannot be afraid.

Hanson and the shadow MEC are screaming fear.

Intimidation is not leadership.

We will succeed.

Jerry remember that Bucking Bar and the ATL FO rep DN are very tight. That is the reason he is questioning this. He does not want to see his buddies political career over before it started.

I have resolved myself that the only way to fix this mess is the recall of at least 1/3 of these guys to swing the majority to the other side. The entrenched MEC members must go. I have heard from to many reps that they hold too much power.
