Soo excited for this TA to pass since I'm flying with two over 60 PNWA dudes this weekend.

Hawaiian Airlines recalled 3 out of 4 MEC reps last year. It is certainly doable, but will take a lot of participation by the membership.

Let your Chairman know at least 15 days out (in writing preferably) that you would like it on the agenda.

At the meeting, the motion will be considered and 50 percent plus one will carry the day. Each pilot can bring 3 proxies.

If recalled, the names will be place on the ballot and sent out to all pilots in the council.

If the majority votes the person(s) out, they are recalled immediately.

Depending on how much of their term is left, the replacement election will take place at another lec meeting, or if there is more than a year left, a normal election will take place through vote net.

The recall and the local election are the easiest to be "stacked" as typically it is a very small number of pilots who attend these meetings due to apathy.

This commuter will do everything he can to make his first meeting if DN's recall is on the agenda.

I might suggest organizing a list for each base in advance. Round up those people who want this change before setting a date for a vote. Then once the date is set, those who can make it can simply take the proxies that cannot make it with them. If there is one thing we can learn from the total screwup known as TA2015, it's a need to control our own timeline and information and not have others making those decisions, using chaos to separate the heard.

One other suggestion. A separate Facebook page or private message board dedicated only to recalls and taking our union back should be established. Only those dedicated to this purpose allowed. There are plenty of other venues to debate the TA (guys on FPL can spend hours spinning the company position or why they and their buddies shouldn't be recalled) so no need to create another one of those.

A pilot from another airline mentioned his personal experience...that once an objective was defined and a private place was established, a lot more got done without those with ulterior motives/agenda trying to ramrod the discussion.

Excellent suggestion. I'm a new Facebook member for just this reason even though I swore I would never Facebook. Scoop forced me into it. He can get pretty nasty.

OK, last idea of the day...

Once we regain control of our union, I think a membership letter writing campaign (very public at that) to our government elected leaders discussing JV's and outsourcing USA pilot jobs and the huge threat that poses would be in order.

Welcome to the new age Carl! Now that you are coming up to speed I've got this ground breaking other site called Youtube. You can't believe the fun you'll have watching cats chase laser pointers.
