Ill be converting to LAX in August. I was planning on a volunteer position to get my feet wet. If you guys don't have any candidates in council 16, I'll put my name in the hat for FO rep or Sec/Treas. I think my inexperience and short time here means I probably wont get very many votes haha, plus I might be too much of a hardliner for the LA crowd.

If you want to narrow your focus to just JV paragraphs, the most significant wide body capacity protection is the Virgin Atlantic JV which was achieved mid contract.

Inexperience is exactly what ALPA needs.
The lifers have made a mess of things.
They've lost their way and they all need to go back to flying.

Let's get the c44 recall rolling. Who's sending that one in?

44 will be the toughest nut to crack I would guess. I would bet they plan the meeting around a P2P "after action" event or similar to ensure a larger presence at the meeting...

If the pilots supporting recall truely want change, they will have to get involved to make it happen.. Being ticked off on a message board won't cut it.

It's the "largest scope recapture" because that's the official narrative.

Ghillis,

You learned in the military that everyone is replaceable. Fresh blood is good for an organization, it brings a fresh perspective.

Of course there are legal boundaries within which both parties, mgmt and labor, must conduct their activities, there needs to be a cleaning of the goggles through which our MEC sees things. We work for a great company. We need a great union.

Good luck, thanks and I hope you are successful.
