Now, if the board decides to reward the executives for a job well done and gives them a raise through the three letters: E. I. P. (otherwise known as the 2007 plan - read the annual shareholder report for details) then yes, that takes money out of the PTIX and out of our pockets. No one knows what this future figure will be. We can estimate with confidence intervals, but that has not been included in the information ALPA has distributed. All we know is last year it was $231M. Think they will get more than an 8% raise??? It could go up 100%, but it still will not have your alluded monstrous effect. It will, however make a dent in the 5.74%. The bigger dent is the eligible wage pool increasing in size which ALPA is keeping static in its model and slides. If other employees get raises, our PS goes down because the pool gets bigger, profit is smaller, and executives are likely given raises in the EIP.
ALPA will say the wage pool can get bigger under our current plan, but at least with our current plan, those increases only hurt half as bad because our PS is currently 20%.
