I do think you're right, however, and there will be pandemonium after the vote, no matter which way it goes. While this happens, we're not going to have a consensus. There will be enormous pressure on the new people to deliver, and no clear way for them to do it, as we go into political purgatory, and management continues to play defense. Because they can, and because we'll make it that much easier for them.
"and management continues to play defense"

You got that bassackwards.

Hey, I got a brief reprieve. You want to split the conversation from this thread?

Better yet, can we discuss this on your boat?

DALPA history says it all. I'm just disgusted with my union, as far as another organization goes or other websites you are wrong. this is my place to vent what I see, but this ALPA leadership has been the worst thing I have seen in a long time. MEC chairman yelling at dues paying members, the onslaught of a sell job, by those who say they are not selling anything, is making me not trust anything coming out of ALPA's mouth. The company is breaking the union without a strike kudos to them for doing there job. When is ALPA going to do theirs. I'm just a fed up lurker who wants change.

Awesome. Welcome, then.

Considering the number of DPA cards that were signed to decertify ALPA, I'd worry more about your house if I were you.

We can talk about the DPA getting involved in this vote, and the poling all day long, if you like. There are legitimate no-voters crapping over themselves on the internet right now begging the DPA "early-no" effort to distance themselves from the considered no vote. I can't imagine anything that would sell a yes faster than thinking about the DPA being involved in the aftermath. It's a huge liability, and they know it.

Having an OAL pilot, assuming you're a pilot, pushing this to the forefront is sort of funny. Knock yourself out.

The DALPA regime must be panicking if they are letting the sinkr8 screen name shift from his almost-neutral position into a high-pressure sales rep.

The sinkr8 persona spent years building credibility as a moderate. Heck, he had me fooled. They're throwing all that away here in hopes that he can sway a couple of votes.

Just another signal that DALPA is growing desperate.

Screw you, PD. The "persona" isn't a creation, and it's 100% me. I'm embarrassed for you that your mind works in these pathetic ways.

I was asked to volunteer because C2012 was plagued by falsehoods. I didn't volunteer to sell, and I don't have instructions on what to write. My volunteering is temporary, and based on respect, and latitude. All I get is a little access to air my concerns, and pass along feedback. Pledging my personal vote isn't part of the process.

As I said previously, a friend and former rep asked me to volunteer, and I did. I didn't know what the product looked like, but I think it deserves fair consideration. The main obstacle to fair consideration right now is the extraordinary "NO" Sales-job that you're promoting so very hard. I've never seen any TA, or any reps, so pre-packaged/vilified/reviled/promoted in my life. I can't help but admire how coordinated it is, the same 35-40 guys working three or four sites, all saying the same thing. P2P guys can't dream of working this way, or without any real responsibility to the truth, or the pilots, but you can.

I'm committed to the process, and you're committed to a specific outcome, not for the group, but for specific candidates and organizations. I think you're nervous about your work becoming too obvious, so you figure a good offense might distract. So I question your actions, you attack my character. It's an obvious sign of weakness.

dALPA's 'desperation' is nothing compared to what this group will feel if we change horses to the dee peee aaaa. 'Desperation' will be the good old days. Exasperation will be the new word.
