OE trip pulls
The best idea I have heard yet is for them to rerun this months bids with 75 percent of the trips designated for OE and see how it compares to the current run.
Since the powers that be only claim it would affect 1 percent, they should be happy to prove their theory right?

I'd love to see how shocked people are at what it will do to what they can hold and the amount of reserves.

The problem with all of these scenarios from the LCA stuff to sick time to the JV stuff is that many of us have zero idea how it will affect us. I say to the union if you want my concessions, prove prove prove to me why you want them. Don't just throw this crap at the wall and see what sticks. If you want to convince me that LCA bidding won't affect the entire system, then prove it to me and the rest of the pilots (CAs and FOs).

I went through the ATL M88B reasons report. There were approximately 1705 pairings awarded. The reasons report had 91 pairings awarded specifically as Line Check Airmen flights. The trips were awarded as low as seniority 9023.
So, pull 75% of those trips, and you will definitely be affecting the trips of ever FO in the category.

There are over 700 LCAs at the airline.

Because if it will definitely affect someone. (I'm junior so I know it will affect me.) Similarly, even for those that are lucky to never get sick, making sick leave more restricted and invasive = concession.

It is, but I am not sure that is the world ending mother of all concessions that it is being made out to be. I... do... not... know... until I get more information. I see pilots doing public math, and we all know how good they are at that.
My point was that he referred to it is 'crap' yet admitted he didn't know how these things affect him. I can't refer to most things on this TA as "crap" or good until I know the facts.
