I don't think they expected it from CVG and ATL. I guess that is why those two were first. Now they will go back and re-evaluate their "Sales-Pitch."
How can they be so out of touch to misjudge the Pilot group so badly?

The Capt. Rep told me the rumors were just crap being posted on Chit Chat and APC and there is no way anything had been agreed to, and, and, and...
Turns out it was all true.
He can't say he had no idea his pilots would never accept these concessions in times of record profits. He's just completely clueless and needs to be replaced.

Chit Chat Poll update. These Polls are limited to DAL Pilots only. There ia an open Poll (names posted) and an anonymous poll. Both are very, very similar.
Open Poll: 555 against the TA, 17 for the TA
Anonymous Poll: 412 against the TA, 13 for the TA
The open poll has been up longer thus the better turnout.
I do think this TA will be defeated but it will be much closer than this. Everyone please try to spread the facts about this TA so the low information voter who would normally only get the MEC spin will get some contrasting information. This way they can make an educated decision - you know, exactly what the MEC claims they want, but do everything to avoid.

If MD wanted to save his job, and represent his pilots, he'd show up at the road shows and beg us all to vote NO, so he and the NC would have much more leverage when they meet with Mike Campbell next month.
Then he'd tell Mike and RA they had better pony up some truly historic money, and drop all the concessions, or that last one will be the LAST JD Power award Delta ever wins.
Then he'd get out the Memory Rat and start blowing....

This was posted on chit chat and I thought it was a crafty way to make a point:
This question was asked at the end of the road show and John Morgado the NC chairman never answered. (I believe the question was meant for Mike Donatelli but he had already left) the question went something like this. Mike has stated numerous times that this TA is the RICHEST EVER. He unequivocally stated yes in it's totality it is richer than C2K in its totality.
So the pilot asked John Morgado, if this TA is richer, then why not just re-instate C2K in its entirety, as that would save the company money. No real answer, Just another statement that the pay rates on this TA will exceed that of C2K.

15 seconds of (evidently) a 4 minute rant:

Somewhere they say is an audio version with a lot more expletives.
So as someone else said, maybe the cops were there to protect the pilots from the Chairman instead of the other way around?

"...RIGHT NOW, AFTER AIRLINE CONSIDERATIO...AFTER AIRLINE CONSOLIDATION! YOU WANT TO BE LIKE THE RAILROAD INDUSTRY? YOU KNOW WHAT THEY GO THROUGH? THEY GO THROUGH A THREE LETTER PROCESS CALLED P...E...B!"
I've never met Donatelli or spoke to him. But this was far worse than I imagined. He's right that it wasn't a sales job, it was a screaming threat that not even Richard or Mike Campbell would have made in front of pilots. Yet this was done by our own Union. OUR OWN FREAKING UNION.
When is enough going to be enough here.

We just got the OE trip pulls back not that long ago by company agreement. Kinda hard to say simply keeping them is unreasonable. Besides the company just agreed to 1.1B in added value over 3 years. They always tell us how big the pie is and its up to us hw to divide it, etc. So as long as we stay in that area of spending or slightly less, its really hard to claim "unreasonableness" no atter how we try to divide up the pie among us.
Its completely unreasonable to claim you need to dicipline pilots for non verifiable illnesses when the federal regulations require us to self ground for many, many illnesses that are not third party verifiable.
Its unreasonable to ask us to change a 50/50 capacity based production balance, that's defined as 48.5% anyway, that the company had no intention of ever honoring. Its also unreasonable to expect us to further fix DCI staffing issues in order to pay for lift we already own.
They agreed to 1.1B in added value over 3 years, and we have to assume that is 100% accurately costed out, right? So no concessions in the most profitable period in industry history while they are blowing many, many billions on flash in the pan long term ineffective peak value buybacks, and we'll give back 100 Million dollars to the company or to charity and keep current book and put one Billion into pay only. It saves the company 100M over the TA, all things considered, according to the company, as long as they properly costed everything, which of course they did, right?
Sounds pretty "reasonable" to me. It saves them 100M dollars over what we just agreed to. Done. Easy button. Reasonable.

Why would we go to the presidential emergency board for voting down a TA 6 months prior to the amendable date?
It's like someone said on chit chat, I'll vote no and keep collecting on the PS checks every February.
Stretch that thought out, if we continue to operate as status quo after a rejected TA then they're going to be paying PS to everyone in full, FOs will still be bidding LCA, DCI will still be restricted in range and hub-to-hub and no additional jumbo RJs, they will probably still be out of compliance on the international JV, the E190s and 739s will be parked (stop laughing but that's what the TA says), MD will not be able to approve a new foreign Delta Air Lines, and we'll still operate under the old sick leave program.
I don't think MD is right about the PEB being the next step in any way shape or form.
I also think it's interesting he says "and that's what you'll be faced with!" I'm sorry, but why isn't "that's what we'll be faced with!"?

I will say, if this gets voted down, what happens to the Delta stock? If it goes down in defeat, would the stock drop? If so, then the MEC voting no at the outset could've saved a lot of people a lot of money including not only management but the pilots.
But then again. I don't know how wall street would react. They know we'll be status quo. And want a deal asap. So maybe it doesn't drop at all. So I still don't get the PEB rant.

WOW, HOLY CRAP, what kind of payoff is he getting from management? EVERYONE needs to see the entire version.
