Also, Is it true ACL65 is one of the Atlanta council reps for ALPA? If yes, there is a clear conflict having him as a moderator here. Can moderators read private messages between members here? Any info would be appreciated.
Acl is still listed as a moderator, but I don't think he's done any moderating since he got elected. Also, moderators can't read private messages.

Agree about the concept of truth...or the ban hammer.

Look at the pay rates! pay rates pay rates pay rates! Don't mind the details, says B-R.

New TA 2015 B-777 Captain with 2016 pay rates
$311 x 1,000 = $311,000 + 10% PS = $342,000

That's a 2016 4.8% raise
+ 1.0% 401K contribution is a total aggregate of 5.8%

===========================================

Current B-777 FO
$185 x 1,000 = 185,000 + 20% PS = $222,000

New TA 2015 B-777 FO with 2016 pay rates
$212 x 1,000 = $212,000 + 10% = $233,200

Thats a 2016 5.0% raise
+ 1.0% 401k contribution is a total aggregate of 6.0%

===========================================

Current B-737 Captain
$219 x 1,000 = $219,000 + 20% PS = $262,800

TA 2015 B-737 Captain with 2016 pay rates
$251 x 1,000 = $251,000 + 10% = $276,222

That's a 2016 5.4% raise
+ 1.0% 401k contribution is a total aggregate of 6.4%

===========================================

Current B-737 FO
$149 x 1,000 = $149,000 + 20% PS = $178,800

TA 2015 B-737 FO with 2016 pay rates
$170 x 1,000 = $170,000 + 10% PS = $187,000

That's a 2016 4.5% raise
+ 1.0% 401k contribution is a total aggregate of 5.5%

===========================================
Cliff's Notes

*Between the most senior pay rates from B-777 Captain to a 12 year B-737 FO...the average pay raise is appx. 5.5%

Add in the 2017 & 2018 3% pay increases and you end up having an 11.5% raise.

Consider the options of turning down TA 2015 carefully.

If disapproved, we can end up going to arbitrage and dragging this out for 2-3 years for only a couple percent more. Then we will be ready for a new contract. Also, the arbitrator's directed to meet just industry standards.

Consider all the facts carefuly and vote wisely!
B-R
Sooooooo Black Rocket...Are you on flight pay loss also? Any position voluntary or otherwise in DALPA?

Logically, though... I'm fine with monetizing more and more profit sharing over time (on top of good normal raises, not this junk here) since airlines have this tendency to not make profits.
As am I, but not as a means of funding a pay rate increase to help get back to rates once seen over a decade ago.

it's pretty narrow minded to be sold on this crap TA solely on the pay rates. The other stuff in there is enough to give you nightmares. go ahead-read all the stuff in red in the new TA

While ACL65 is still listed as a mod, he hasn't actively participated here since his election. No one can see your PMs except the sender and recipient(s) of the PM.
Understood. What I proposed could just cover info exchanged over the TA. ALPA used to provide pro/con papers. They just do pro now apparently. It's not really a fair way for the membership to get an accurate picture in a short period of time.

Whereas it's been verified ALPA is sending guys to this board to push what many feel is a one sided and oft times misleading message, it would be nice to balance the CG for better climb and cruise performance before landing.

RE ACL65, I'm no lawyer but I don't think it's a good idea for him to be listed as a moderator. Members who don't agree with his politics as an ALPA rep may take issue. If I were Internet Brands I would remove his name. Thanks for listening

Actually, making predictions...and reasonably accurate ones at that...is relatively easy.

It's getting the TIMING right that is the hard part.

I think FTB is right about the tool. Not a Delta pilot.

Remember it was FTB that busted Lumberg as a fraud.

Good to know. Enjoy it for now before the next contract where pilots are required to turn over login ID for internet message boards with their medical records.
