Forgot,
From my ID you will be able to ascertain that I'm not in management and I do not have any position whatsoever in ALPA. That should clarify things quite a bit I imagine. Just a line puke.
So c'mon lets get that cleared up shall we?
Of course you could just say that you are wrong if you want. The beer sounds more fun though. Let's do it.

Exactly. We've seen how how guys are derided by the Dalpa junta if they are "one issue no voters."
Those who are excited by this POS are "one issue Yes voters." That issue is pay rates.
For me, QOL, privacy, and PRIDE are every bit as important as pay rates. More important.
I won't be able to enjoy the money if my kids hate me for being gone more; if my wife leaves me because I'm so damn exhausted when I am home; or if I'm dead, because Delta doesn't give a **** if I expire the day after I retire...after flying my life away. This POS is a complete capitulation.
If we don't stand up now, it will it only get worse going forward.

So first, I am a 2014 hire, recently off probabation, so this is my first union experience. SO be easy on me if I am asking a silly question!
Read through all the red change items in the TA commuting in today and noticed they have redone all the math for reserve levels. Its all greeek and could not make out whether it means they will carry more reserves on any given day or less. But combined with the LCA change, it has me concerned. The LCA change may push me back to reserve. I know you're all crying about the 3 months I had to stand reserve, but now that I have a line, I realize its a much better way to live! They haven't changed the x-day tables, but if they raise the number of reserves required my ability to say move x-days for example, pretty much goes away I would think. Opinions?
I also read the 5+15 daily credit language....and I sure don't interpret it the same way the company has applied it! I can fly a 4 day trip with a 30 hour LO, and say the 3 days I do fly are 6 hours block each. My math (6+6+6+5+15) comes to 23+15. But what I see is 21 with 3 hours credit. I know it is not something that is changed in this TA, but what am I missing that obviously makes the math more complicated than a lowly MD-88 FO can figure out.....

I think your concern in the first paragraph is well founded.

Fair enough. If it appears someone is intentionally misleading the readers here they should be banned. Keep in mind, since DALPA crafted this TA they cannot rely on "I think". Information needs to be honest and accurate. Failing to acknowledge the degree to which something is upside or downside or omitting one completely is also not being honest. You will see Denny does a pretty good job of accounting both sides of the ledger.

The reason I ask is those items really aren't money items. I think where the rubber meets the road they are principle issues that flight ops have hard on over. More likely to succeed there versus significant money issues. I think we have very little odds of success, considering the NMB and TVM when it comes to money.
