[QUOTE=Professor;1900731]I could be. But I am not.
I am very happy to stop answering questions.[/QUOTE
If the union hadn't pulled down the old forum, that would be the place to answer questions. This smells of desperation. The TA is subpar, plain and simple. By all means, keep answering.

Hank, if I were in your position I would not disagree.
That is exactly what it looks like. I don't have all the details as to why, but there should be a statement soon. Really.
But again, please keep discussing here and elsewhere the merits and de-merits of the proposed TA. Thanks.

Authenticate BZ43. This is the web man. Take it for what it's worth and do your own homework.

I know that and so does he, our union shutdown our forum. So they come here, why can't we have this discussion on our dalpa forum? Where's the transparency?

I thought pay banding was a concession that would lead to massive job loss!

Sorry bro, that FUD won't fly here.
The company's operation will unravel far sooner with the retirements coming up, and Wall Street will **** themselves when they realize labor risk is on the table. Our "me too" clause will kick in.
The company desperately needs a permanent fix to the AF/KLM violation. The arbitrator would not be pleased if the company pretty much plans on eternally ignoring our contract. That generates further leverage.

I'd like to hear more about the JV language changes, EASKs vs block hours etc. and what it means for Delta widebody flying. It sounds horrible to me at first glance but I readily admit that I might be missing something. I hope I am. So, is this being discussed there today and if so what's the deal?

Typing on a tiny phone but here's 3 numbers:
DAL Block hours-
Right now- 51.5%
What it SHOULD have been to comply with the JV- 53.1%
What the new TA allows- 49%
Edit: that's aircraft block hours not pilot block hours

Massive Concessions: The Firehose Effect.
The more I look into details (there are some good discussions on the chitchat forum), the more it seems like this is a firehose of concessions. A Medusa.
There is absolutely no way for our reps to wrap their heads around all the tweaks and gotchas in sick leave, AF/KLM, etc, in a week, much less two or three days.
If, IF, this goes to MEMRAT it will be a breeze for DALPA to sweep all the undesirable outcomes under the rug at road shows--there is just too much crap to wade through.
