Details on Delta TA

That's exactly what I say they will slowly bring in smaller planes at low rates slowly phase out the Mad Dog. As it is they have tech issues on some of them doing upgrades for future ATC and NAV issues. Will have to retire them. Many pilots will be stuck filying the smaller planes at the very low rates. Can't anyone see the trend. We need our own scope to protect use on how many smaller jets we get before the Co. Needs to adjust the rates.
Add in the EASK to block hour change and we see Delta pilot jobs being pushed to the smaller low paying airframes while every other JV partner adds more international JV flying which will be allowed if we go to a block hour measurement. We may all be Delta Captains for 20 years here, but 17 of those will be in small narrowbody airframes parked next to AF and Virgin 777's and 380's.

Build virtual bases where they can eliminate DH pay and not staff it like a real base...nor would they pay folks to move?

The 88s retirement is now a topic of management discussion. You could probably replace its flying with a mix of 90s, 320s, 319s, 717s, 737s and even double CRJ900s.
That's what I was told.

From what I understand the E190 is for the west coast to replace the 717s and maybe do dtw flying. Maybe replace the 717 there too. The 717s will come back east maybe to do the shuttle flying in full or replace some 88 flying. The E190 is supposedly not for ATL.

I don't know anything but even talking about 195's as replacement aircraft is kind of silly. This management team is smarter than to eject 50-60 seats that are current filled to the brim on most routes.
Down gauging the 88's would be colossally stupid. I doubt that is a long range plan. The 319/20 is a legit replacement.

This TA is a complete fail. We got a nickel of per diem and 15 minutes of vacation. Management got everything they wanted and more.
The insiders delivered us once again on the exact minute management wanted the deal done. This is the worst piece of negotiating in ALPA history. And history will reflect that.

Missed you buddy.
I think that is your opinion. And as your opinion is valid.
The reality is that at least in pay this TA does a few things:
- DOS puts us at or above AA rates.
- Amendable date puts all rates above C2K rates. Well above AA.
- Pays out more to pilots regardless of where company profits land. There is still no cap in profit sharing.
- if ratified, the TA will have raised our rates 81.8% since 2008
Those are just facts. You may not like them. Just putting them out there for you and others.
