I'm sensing desperation from the sales team.
I'm sensing lunacy from you. I've added more than 100,000 bucks to my pay in the last three years. If I chose to wait, how do I get my 100,000 back?

Well if 9/6/3/3 is even close. And c2012 was 4/8.5/3/3 or was it 8.5/4/3/3 then it's already passed. Just sayn...

I guess you aren't factoring in the funding of the 6% from your profit sharing. So, in reality it's 9/0.5/3/3.

Just sayin...

I expect a lot from this deal and will be happy to wait like you if it's not enough. We'll find out if our guys panicked next week and vote accordingly.
Agreed. No reason to panick if the deal is not ratified, and no reason to ratify because of panick, but clearly there is no other pilot group doing any lifting for us. I'm not a fan of pattern-bargaining, but maybe the rest of the world does compare pilot contracts when comparing airlines. It took me acouple of days of denial after the AMR deal turned out to be below our total compensation to admit we might have an issue.

While there certainly were gains in C2012, an extra $30,000-$35,000 seems kind of high. How did you get that $100,000 figure, and does that factor in the PS reduction of 5% on $2.5 billion?

A huge portion of this airline retires in the next 5 yrs. for most of them their last contract. They don't want to wait for a few more percentage points. If this TA passes the MEC. Then behind closed doors most or all in this group will vote yes.

So the worst thing that I see, is I would loose 8% for the remainder of this year. I also keep my dignity and for once in my life tell management that I am better than their cheap bribes! Chin HI, I will still see raises without a deal.
You're chin might be high but you also might be cutting off your nose despite your face. You should at least wait and see what entire TA has in it.

It would be silly not to factor the +'s and -'s in such a hypothetical. I sure hope everyone can do the math objectively. Of course, that implies more than just payrates and PS, for everyone to arrive at their own conclusion.

I'll take historic for $50...

Sadly, you are probably right.

It's all hypothetical right now.

Unfortunately, everyone is hyper focused on pay rates. I understand that, but there is so much more.

Every FO should be up in arms about LCA trips removed from their bidding options as an example. And frankly, I cannot imagine the union would even consider it. However, it's as strong a rumor as pay rates. Disclaimer, I don't work that angle, but get better trips because more senior guys do work that angle.
