Why on earth should they do that? Everything I've heard from reputable sources is things are progressing fine.

I've heard exactly the opposite from reputable sources.

You know the last MEC meeting was rough. F-bombs were dropped, feelings were hurt. Massive concessions were signed off on by the thinnest majority; pilot surveys were ignored.

Let's take a couple of days to put things back together.

I'm an "on target" guy. Are your sources by any chance "on time" guys?

Oops " Adding 125 76 seat jets would equate to 450 76 seat jets and if it was unlimited 70 seaters as well, it would then go above the current cap of 450. " He went on to say this rumor does not pass the logic test.

For a dude with no real information, you sure are full of very specific advice.

Do you roll up to the cockpit when deadheading and ask if the dude/ettes flying need some advice too?

As for the rest of yous angry birds. I suggest visiting your local pro. Or be nicer to your wives/husbands. Then start posting again.
No one is angry here except the DALPA moles who feel like they are being attacked by a healthy debate.

Healthy debate is good.

If that upsets you, get ready. The demographics are changing within the dues paying membership. Adapt or become extinct.

You are so barking up the wrong tree.

Until the last few pages this has only been a Chicken Little Festival.

Let us debate. But without real, and I mean real TA stuff...there isn't anything to debate.

Call your lec reps. Talk to them. Adjust the course and ask questions. It's so simple I could do it.

Which was? This is exactly my point. You have 'sources' who 'say'. Great. I have a source that says I'm the best pilot on the planet. She's my mom. And also says I'm very good at brushing my teeth. She also thinks I'm still 10.

I digress. A source is not the source. You fill the waves here with constantly with vitriol and innuendo that the sky is falling.

Is it? Hell if I know. But it isn't just this second. And until I see what a TA brings, I'm not ringing the bell and screaming it to the town.

I'm an on target guy and so are my sources, but no reason to not be on time for no good reason, right?

I know there was some gnashing of teeth toward the end of the last meeting, but it sounded like it was more to do with the old guard being upset about no longer being in control. Massive concessions? HA! Your info is bad, brotha.

Like you, I'm a no vote on unnecessary concessions/trades... but the product has to be a good bit farther along for anything to be verifiable.

Once the TA is released and voted on (like in C2012) it's TOO LATE to make course changes.

The DALPA spin-machine is engaged once a TA is released for a vote.

The time to debate is NOW! BEFORE a TA is released.

The problem is DALPA isn't even letting us know what's on the table. Not even letting membership know what is being discussed.

So I'll listen to the rumors....because that is the ONLY information that is being provided to me. (other than the worthless, "your union met in closed session today for 9 hours" email)

Based on the rumors provided to me. I will vote NO.

DALPA know this: The demographics of your dues paying members are changing. Adapt or become extinct.
