I let them know in no uncertain terms, I was not impressed with C2012, and they had better pull their heads out, for C2015.

In 2001 the majority of Delta pilots were hired between 1985 and 2001. In 2014 the majority of Delta pilots were hired between 1985 and 2001. In 2000 Delta's load factor was about 74%, today Delta's load factor is about 84%.
I have about 500 people below me right now. A lot of Delta pilots are scheduled to retire soon and continuously for the next ten years. There is not much, if any, efficiency to be gained by putting more people in airplanes. In order for me to be furloughed Delta would have to shrink significantly, which would probably be due to a worldwide depression, or drones will have to be certified. There is absolutely nothing we could do in C2015 that would affect either of those possibilities.

At the time of the merger with NW, DL south had about 7,300.
That's a loss of 3,100 pilot jobs.
You are smoking crack if you think it can't happen again.

That's not what I read Timbo to be saying. I read him as saying simply that the 20% used to come from the company's pocket and now comes from ours. As it no longer comes from the company, it is another 20% that we're not receiving.

I was in the first class post 2001, and my initial seniority was 6822. TK (the last guy hired in 2001) was 6818. That's a big drop from 10,400.

And thanks for saying that in much fewer words than I could ever manage!

Wow, I didn't realize we had gotten down to so few!
Oberon, you listening?
(I actually met TK once, and his predecessor, JP McL! who was the bottom guy from the 1993 furlough)
