Good afternoon all...happy to be here!! I received the 2/21 invite. Still have to mail in that new NDR form. Paperwork never ends! Also, I know of at least one person who declined training due to going to a different carrier from the 10/18 interviewees. Once more: happy to be here!

There is a class on Feb 27th as well, however half of it will probably be SSP guys, so not just off the street hires.

A couple of us stayed at Stone Mountain. It was a lot of fun and about a 45 min drive. Not too pricey and it was very relaxing.

I've mentioned this on here before, but my sim partner and I were able to get a deal on a two bedroom suite at the Residence Inn. I think we paid something like $160/night out the door for basically two master bedrooms separated by a living room and full kitchen. Free breakfast every morning, free booze and food 3-4 nights a week. The evening food wasn't as extensive as the Staybridge, typically just snacks/appetizers. But once you're on a whacked out sim schedule, having the full kitchen was nicer than the free food. As I recall (and I might be mixing this up with the hotel in MIA), they had grills out by the pool for guest use. Nice way to make some dinner, wind down and do some light studying. Added bonus, it's at most a 5 minute walk to Delta Land and still very convenient to all the goodies that Virginia Avenue has to offer. And added added bonus: we both got a pile of Marriott points.

Moral of the story: Call around and ask for a "Delta crew discount" and you'd be surprised at some of the deals you can get.

Delta pays for your hotel during the ten days of Indoc. However, for sim training you're on your own.

Sorry for the late response...no they did not. Basically told us after the interviews that everything is economy driven...makes sense, especially with the market uncertainty with the elections. I anticipated a slow-down even though they told us about mid-Jan for classes.

Is the hotel at our choosing, with a cap per night, or is it assigned by them? Thanks.

It's booked and paid for by Delta. For indoc it's the Staybridge Suites. Decent hotel with breakfast 7 days a week and beer, wine and dinner included on weeknights. After indoc though, you are 100% on your own.

When I went through, the Staybridge would give you $99/nt after indoc but you had to book the entire 3-4 weeks with them at once. Not such a great deal if you're one of the folks headed to MIA for part of training. If you do go to MIA though, Delta picks up the tab for the time you aren't in ATL.
