Last they mentioned, they had "funding" for 900 for the year, but its been very common to eventually get more per year than the initial approved amount. I think the year they had 1300 they only had funding for 1000 for a while, etc. So I'd say 1000-1200 is probably a good bet. Mainline growth is winding down but retirements are ramping up.

Quality Inn Suites South was under 50/day when I last used it. Country Inn and Suites South was about 10 more. Neither are on VA though, if you were looking for walking distance. They do have shuttles though. Holiday Inn is mid 70s I think and is the normal training hotel. Those are the cheapest ones I know of.

I was in same boat, did sims in MIA. I just stayed at the Staybridge where we were put up for indoc. Their DAL rate was $99 a night but was only for 8 nights and the free meals were convenient. There are cheaper options though.

fun fact, you can stay anywhere else and pay $5 for the nightly staybridge food/alcohol
