Just curious. Why do you think that, because of pay?

Partly. It'll be $7k/yr difference in the second year, all else being equal.

I don't diasagree. (Is that a double negative?) However, I think certain pilots choose the 717 over the 88/90 due "user interface" niceties as well. JMHO, this and 'two bits' won't even buy you a Starbucks today.

...and 4 out of 5 chiropractors recommend against the 717. But they aren't doctors so what do they know.

Is it a 2 year SEAT lock or 2 year AIRCRAFT lock?

Yes, but.

If you get an initial base assignment to a base you don't want to be at, after a year you can bid to the base of your choice. If it has the same equipment you are on and you can hold it, then that's what you get. If you cannot hold it, you can bid any category that you can hold in the base.

IIRC, it would be a 2 year aircraft lock with one caveat (for new hires) being my last post. As far as the seat part goes, I think you can bid captain from FO anytime (for the first time). I just think your freeze is cumulative. In other words, take what's left of your FO freeze and add it to your new captain freeze.

This reads like you will have to wait a year to move bases...which you won't.
