Free country and people have a choice, but holding out for your favorite is a risky game. Go get hired by somebody else and if DAL calls with a class date then you've got an enviable choice on your hands.

If your argument is something to the effect of 'well, not everybody has 3 airlines calling for an interview' then perhaps the only reason you even got the interview was because of SSP, and you've got no standing to complain since your resume isn't quite yet competitive. ALPA isn't at the top of my xmas card list, but I don't see them as the bad guy in your situation. To me it sounds like they gave you an opportunity that you otherwise wouldn't have had. If you're just venting I get it. If you really think you've been wronged then I think you should reassess.
Point was a Jan '15 CJO had no class date given for over 1.5 yrs at a time Delta is putting 900 pilots/year in newhire classes.

I think the real point is if you are in a hurry apply off the street and try your chances at a non SSP CJO. Before someone says a CJO is a CJO (it's not). They may generally mean the same things but the Conditions are entirely unique. Even the conditions between a Captain SSP CJO and a First Officer SSP CJO are different. So in order of priority.

Off the street CJO (most competitive candidates)
Captain SSP CJO
First Officer CJO

The trade off for waiting a few extra months or in some cases an extra year is the fact that you got an interview that may never have come. I realize many pilots think they know what is best for Delta when it comes to who they are hiring, you don't. This is Delta's choice and you can see from many of the young guys getting hired it takes more than flight time.
