Lately it has been about 7-9 weeks from invite to interview. I was lucky, I called a few days after I originally scheduled and they had an earlier date available. I ended up being about 4 weeks from invite to interview.

It depends on what you are looking for. It is also a moving target as to what's "best". Some guy on here had a DAL interview but elected to stay at LUV. He would be a captain here in less than 2 years, and will throw gear there for many many more. But he will drive to work. Decisions, decisions.

I believe so. Of the three guys I've wrote recs for that had a job offer at both (in the last 18 months), all three went to United. A fourth guy chose AAL.
Delta is not the first choice and quickly turning into a stepping stone.

He'd only be a captain at DL in two years if willing to coverage three airports on reserve indefinitely.
Meanwhile the SWA F/O who lives in base is making the same at W-2 time with 5 more days off each month and don't even try to compare vacation months.

Not much of a decision.

It's not necessarily no-shows, but the number of individuals who tell Delta thanks, but now thanks after they get the CJO, and the number of new hires that leave within 6 months of starting Indoc.
When Flight Ops only mentions Indoc no shows....that's only part of the equation.
