And people above you are more likely to flee asap to bigger and better. Which is also good for your relative seniority.

I think what I said is true as an overall trend. However, there are 6 month stretches (or more) where no one gets ATL 88 or 717 for a couple AEs. If you happen to be the plug when that happens, that sucks. I don't know any way of predicting that.

Something else, 73 seems to block more. 73 guys seem to get off probation faster than anyone else. If you care. And personally I'd recommend caring more about getting off reserve if you're gunna be commuting.
Thanks Sputnik. Valid points.

There were also 6 320B pilots who transferred out of SLC essentially leaving 19 open slots. if you want SLC and Delta, you will get it right away right now.

Had a guy in my new hire group that lives in SLC...he'll be glad to hear that.

Any transfers out of ATL?

Indoc is 9 days. Usually Monday to the following Thursday, but can sometimes start on a Tuesday.

Sim schedules can vary greatly. Usually 3-4 sims followed by 1-2 days off. They will move you through as fast as they can so don't plan to spend much time at home. You can book yourself positive space home when you have 2 days off. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks! I've heard that most aircraft systems are done online (at home), vs being in class. Is that true?

I have children and a husband who's an airline pilot/reservist also. It can be done! Commuting is a choice. I live in my mil and airline base and so does he 👍

You will get a flash drive with the systems program that you have to finish. When you come back after Indoc there will be a few days of systems review and then an eSV (electronic systems validation). All of the questions in the test are taken from the material in the LOD (Learning Objectives Document). Complete the flash drive systems and then study primairly the LOD.
