I would take a wild guess and say no. It is due by 1200 EST that day and I don't even know if you will have picked your planes yet. So, you'll probably have to wait until the next one.
But really, I have no clue. You could certainly ask prior to arrival or as soon as you get there and are enjoying a danish and some orange juice (not Kool-Aid)
Welcome on board.

For those in the March 14 class, with the bid closing at noon on March 14, do we get to bid on the AE? And if we do, is it getting the first award through the AE or just bidding for a different base in the AE after getting the airplane in class?

Hypothetically speaking I guess they could bid lax 777b since it is a new category. Pretty sure day 2 of the interview process weeded out anybody who thinks they have a chance of getting it.

For everyone in the early March classes, don't read too much into the AE numbers. Your drops will not be effected by the AE because the awards won't be done. After the awards are announced the classes after that can expect to see some impact. Just remember anything you fly for Delta, at any base, is better than almost anything else. Welcome to the team, enjoy the ride.

Even if the awards aren't posted before the March classes, wouldn't they assume there will be a bunch of -88 and 717 openings to fill and plan accordingly?

The duration varies, but the bigger the AE the longer it takes and this is a very big AE. They already are making assumptions and planning accordingly. In the current hiring environment the 717 and 88 will always be short manned in NYC on the FO side, good assumption.

FWIW, any bean counters might want to know the 29 Sep CJO group will only have 6 of 7 in the 4 Apr class. The 7th guy is looking around for other options.

When's the next class drop?
