I emailed Delta today and found out July 9 will be all in March 14 class. I also learnt that, this is because the class size of March 7th class has been reduced from what had been originally planned.

Did you get CJO dates for the last March class?

No I wish I had, I only asked in my email that if all the invites were out for March 7th class and if I should still be expecting an invite for March 7th? The reply was one line saying plan on March 14 as class size for March 7th has been reduced. I am July 9 CJO, seniority number 3 from the top, if that helps you find where you stand.

Reduced class size is no good.

Huh!!??? Why? How small? So now things are again delayed further!?

What email/phone number are you & FlyCameron using?

Frustrating to say the least

Just flew with a training department APD (73N). He says the last two months have been slower, but starting next month they are slammed. Sims are booked wall to wall and they are having a tough time filling them with instructors. Not positive, but thats likely true with most fleets.

Default How does category selection actually work?

For anyone that has recently done Indoc--how does the process of aircraft category selection actually work?

Do they put the list up on the board and the senior person immediately picks, or do they give you some time to consult with home plate before selecting?

For our class they posted the drop then we selected about 3 or 4 hours later. There were a few breaks in there to review pay scales, call home, etc...

They put the list up mid-morning. You pick early afternoon. I'd recommend consulting with home plate before you even show up. All new hires for the foreseeable future will bid to NYC. Have your preference order of aircraft ironed out ahead of time.
