From what I've gathered in general conversation, Delta has a tiered application system based on the number of points an application scores. I've heard only the tier one candidates get invited to interview. That's why I'm convinced it's incredibly important to keep updating flight times and experience on the application. The more you do that, the more chances you get to score higher and hit that tier one.

Not very well. My assumption is everything on the app is worth a certain amount of points.
Just as important are internal recommendations. Each time one is submitted, your app is pulled and scored by a human. That's how we distinguish ourselves from the completely automated systems at AA and UAL.

The app is not scored each time an internal rec is submitted. The first time one is submitted the app is pulled and scored. After that it is either 6 months or a year before they will pull it again. Make sure your app is good before the first internal rec.

12 month wait to rescore. Definitely make sure your first impression is a good one, and don't rush to be internally recommended if you have a game-changer (e.g., captain upgrade or your first 121 job) only weeks away. Have several people you respect review a .pdf of your app too, BEFORE triggering an internal rec/app score.

The take away is: make sure your app is perfect before pulling the trigger on your internal rec (via internal email to the pilot hiring department.)
Good luck!

About two weeks after the AE closes, in Deltanet under crew resources and training, they post a projected training conversion list. Usually accurate to within a month of when you'll go to training/convert. On ~25th two months prior, they publish the official conversion list, found on the same page of Deltanet(i.e. On the 25th of Jan, the conversion list for Mar will come out).

Recommendations via an email directly to the Pilot Selection Team: This recommendation should be sent to [email protected]. Please write “RECOMMENDATION” in the subject line. This recommendation will not be added to the candidate’s AirlineApps online application for future review. Instead, this recommendation will trigger an internal process whereby our Pilot Selection Team will pull the online application for a review, score the application and then determine if the candidate meets the scoring minimums to be offered an interview. When you email the recommendation, expect the following to occur.
How do you take that to mean an app is only scored once in 12 months? So an applicant with 5 solid internal recs only gets credit for one if they are submitted in the same 12 month period? I'm sorry but that doesn't pass the smell test. This is directly from DeltaNet. Unless it's grossly outdated (highly doubtful) this is pretty set in stone.
So, I stand by my contention that each internal rec generates a review.
Additionally, and maybe this is where the confusion lies, a Delta pilot can only recommend the same candidate once in 12 months. Again, according to the same website on DeltaNet.

I beg to differ. Here is an excerpt from the Pilot Selection website on DeltaNet.
