No I didn't speak to anyone. I was hoping I could find an excuse to call them, but everyone was conducted via email. After I emailed them back telling them I was available, I received a confirmation email back.

"Up to" 20 E-190s and 20 more 737-900s coming to the fleet. Just went up on Deltanet today. 190's supposed to be flying early 2017.

Depending on contract negotiations, we could see street captains on those E-190s.

Yup....it kinda has that effect on you sometimes. I keep hoping to see tons of posts about LOTS of calls/e-mails going out for the 100+ January class dates. IF that happened I should go about mid-March. Such is life.....

One thing I DO know is I'd rather sit here and watch the gas bubbles float up in this endless pool than have to fill out another government job application. Applied for a T-6 sim job at the local base today. About as much fun as a sharp stick in the eye. Somebody gave me a seven page resume as an example. Made my resume' look that theirs and took it to a civilian on the base to review before I submitted it and he said it was still too short; not "pretty" enough. Good ol' gov't efficiency......

Why do you think there would be street CAs? You don't think any current FOs would want the quick upgrade? Not criticizing just curious about your reasoning. Sounds like about 300 more pilots to hire no matter what.

Because a 5yr 737 FO will make the same as the 5yr 190 CA. And 5 yr 320, 88 or 717 FO not much less.

Look at the AA pay rates on the 190. The upgrade time on that fleet has been as little as 6 months.
