Good point.

But we're Delta pilots.

And you guys will be too soon. And you must learn something about this place newbies... there ain't a thread here we don't hijack. I know that might be against the rules at your previous websites, but not here. We're Delta pilots. We own everything. United vs Continental? Ours. Southwest vs AirTran? Owned it with three hotels on it, pay us rent for stopping there. JetBlue? When we're bored out of our minds, it's ours. And so on.

So when you're sitting in that new hire class look at the pilot to your left and the pilot to your right and know that whether or not you become millionaires in consequential, what matters is, you can hijack threads at will.

The moment when one realizes there's more to the comprehensive benefits package than briefed at indoc. I recommend they add unrestricted "pimp rights" to any thread of your choosing...😎

It's great being ✈️ Delta!! 👏🍻

With the TA it was planned to continue that migration which would have required more pilots. The Skywest E175 order is the start of managements plan B.
The good news is even without the additional block hours hiring should be strong.
Sailing from some comments from upper management to classes last month. Hiring will be 600-700 per year for the foreseeable future. Pulling 757s out of the desert, looking for more 717s, evaluating other NB options, they still like the 190s "we'll see". This was one of the classes where the whole 777 for $10 mil was talked about too. Something is being looked at but not for certain.

There's others stuff I won't hijack the thread with but suffice it to say life's pretty good and going to continue that way.

I agree that the number may change. If some used 777's show up that will jumpstart things. They are staffed at 30 plus pilots per airframe!
