OK so I'm going to throw out a question here, but first a little background. I'm a 26 May CJO. My last day in the AF is 30 Nov. Movers came back in July and put everything in storage (because I was thinking I would be in indoc by early August, dulp!). Wife and kids are are 2000 miles away staying at the in-laws while I am trying to sell our very barren house and wait for a class date. Best guess is late Jan-late Feb for indoc. Come 30 Nov, I'd like to move temporarily to ATL while awaiting training, probably to a furnished apartment or extended stay condo and get the family back together.
Anyone have suggestions on a part time/full time job for 2-3 months? I'm leaning toward flight instruction out of an Atlanta area FBO. Something like ATP training where I can finish a up with a student in a week or so. Secondary plan, Home Depot. Tertiary plan, Starbucks barista. Thoughts?

If there are 2 Dec classes you will probably be in Dec.

That would be great if it happens (also great if there's a second Dec class), but I'm not getting my hopes up. Based off Badger's spreadsheet and info today about the 9 Nov class having 8 OTS, there's 67 folks still waiting on calls in front of me. Plus I'm a low last 4, so more like 78. So unless Dec has two classes of 40 OTS a piece, I'm looking at at least January.

Badger's spreadsheet is a great tool to see where you are in relation to the other poolies and helps me pass the time running different class size scenarios. Please keep in mind that Badger has stated in his spreadsheet notes section that the information on his spreadsheet is pure conjecture gleaned from rumors mainly from pilots who have recently interviewed or classed up recently. None of his information is coming from official sources and should not be used for making life decisions.
Best of luck to everyone and please be prepare for a long swim in the pool. It's not over until your behind is actually in class. HT

As a 5 month swimmer, I am hoping for 2 classes of 40 pilots each in December as well. However, I am planning on 1 class in December (either 30 Nov or 7 Dec) with 8 SSP and 12 OTS. I am prepared to class up tomorrow, I am also prepared to class up in 2016.
