My fault, you are correct. The minimum is the lesser of 1/3 of all positions offered that year, or those numbers you stated. However, those numbers go away when the most junior person eligible interviews. And they have submitted their name at this point. The SSP will not make it until 2018...

144 times 3 is 432 and 180 times 3 is 540. If Delta hires at least 432 people and puts them in class in 2015 then all 144 SSP hires must go to class. In 2016 the number of SSP hires in class goes up to 180 during the year as long as Delta place 540 people in class that year. Based on current numbers and estimates for future annual hiring numbers, SSP will go at the maximum rate.

I am not quite sure about the distribution that spreadsheet is probably the best place to look. I believe there was a slow down in the spring and summer which means they have to pick it up in the fall to make the quota. Next year it will be lest likely since an even distribution is 15 per month and any month below that would need to recover on a different one.

No, the first 6 months of 2015 had very few SSP pilots, I even want to say there might have been a month or two where there were 0 SSP in class. This backlog is the reason higher SSP numbers (17/month) are occupying these last 6 month of class. Curious if the rumors on here about holding back the last 34 (17 November, 17 December) are credible. Like Apollo stated, they would have to sign an LOA, and my guess is these 34 would be given seniority numbers and handled very much like compass flows (pure speculation).

Alright folks. This is the big week. Let's hope for a bunch of OTS calls to fill the late Oct class. To steal a line from a buddy of mine, karma Popsicles for everyone who posts an update after their call. We want to know how many in this class, how many in next class and updates on increases in class size. Let's get the board poppin' today. Have a great week poolies.
