Delta will give you no information while in the pool. The information from here comes from people who spill the beans on their interview class, the drop once they're in class, when they get the call for class, etc.

Looks like you're about #350 in the pool. If they keep OTS classes to 30-40 month (unlikely) you'll be about 10 months. If they go back up to 60+ OTS, you're looking at about 6 months. Keep your life jacket it on and don't look back to the shore.

No news is good news. Everybody has a different timeline. I got my cleared to train letter the day before I left for indoc but some people get it in indoc. Some people claim they never got it. If there is something to worry about, they are going to contact you. Also, AK said that an extremely low number of people have anything come up in the background check and it is almost a non-event. Congrats and I hope the pool empties sooner rather than later. Every time a pilot gets hired it is good for every pilot.

I've heard the abbreviation "AE" used a few times. Slowly decoding airline speak but I don't have a handle on this one. Can I get the cliff notes?

So possibly some OTS guys getting into the 9/7 class? What is this based on? April 23rd here planning my September work schedule and I'm anticipating 9/7 or 9/21.

I would say it's not based on anything except everyone wishing and hoping! Lots of excitement and anticipation out there.
