So does anyone have the drop for today's class (even if it was only Compass)?

I'm guessing you are talking on the ER. 73n and 88s going within a couple days of completion right now...

Have any OTS guys been called for 8/17 class yet? Per the spreadsheet there should be 16? With a min of two weeks notice those calls should be going out now?

They went out a few weeks ago. Next calls will be for September classes.

My question is:

once complete with IOE:
1. Do we fly the rest of our shadow bid for that month?
2. Do we get training pay for the rest of that month?
3. If TOE is scheduled right after (like 3 days), do we get paid our standard hourly rate for TOE? or is that training pay?

any help would be appreciated.

For any poolies interested, it was a 2 month break from sim completion before the start of IOE. Obs dropped maybe 5 weeks into the break.

thanks dudes!

IOE is paid on 'training pay plus perdiem'. Once you get signed off for domestic IOE (35 hours) you convert to 'flight pay' (first year).

TOE (Trans-Oceanic Experience) is paid at flight pay with international addition and international perdiem.

In #2 Sputnik mentioned a 'gap'.
The reason is that training pay is paid at the end of the half-month you just completed. (Jul 1-15 is paid on July 15th)
Flight pay is paid 'in arears'. (Jul 1-15 is actually paid on July 31 and July 16-31 plus all perdiems, extras, adjustments are paid on Aug 15)(Confusing, I know.)

The result is that, if you, for example, convert on the 3rd of the month, your 15th paycheck will be 3/30ths of training pay.
You won't get your first flight pay paycheck until the end of the month.
Your first flight paycheck will also seem small since it only covers the 4th-15th (in this example)
Don't shoot the messenger, just have a little buffer in your account for the first months of employment at DL. It is worth it.

Thanks! That explains it perfectly. Sometimes I'm pretty dumb.

I don't know if the answer to #1 is correct. Maybe IOE is different from OE, but my memory from converting from the 88 to the 717 was that I had about 5 days of Shadow on my schedule after training. I had two four day trips scheduled back to back after my training (the second 4-day started on the last shadow day). As a result both of those two trips were paid and I didn't fly them. I got a 2-day with a LCA where I completed my OE.

So I don't think you fly out the rest of the shadow bid, but you do fly out the rest of the month's bid after shadow. At least that was my experience (as I recall).
