Does anyone know the status of the Compass flow? What month will the last flow be in class? With the reduced class sizes they are taking a huge percentage of spots. I figure the logjam will start to clear when that is over.

Make sure you know their situation too. A family of 4 that can't separate and wants to sit together trying to to go EU in the summer or MCO/LAS anytime, etc and pretty much forget about it. A single friend with flexibile travel plans that can afford to get stranded somewhere for a week? Hey, have at it.
I'm getting to the point where I'm about to only give them out for flexible international travel, preferrably off peak. Thats all they are good for. Show up to ATL/JFK and 4 or 5 hours prior to the flight see what's wide open in first as well as open in the back, considering non revs, as well as for the return flight, and that's where you're going. Book it, check in, hang around another hour or so, and if its still open and there's not a massive weather event moving in, go on priceline or whatever and book your hotels etc.
Anything else is just dumb. Buddy pass charges can rival or sometimes exceed positive space coach and you could get stranded somewhere for over a week easy. I've found that when you try to tell people this, their eyes glaze over as long as its a dollar cheaper than buying it and they want it anyway, even with full coach and -40 in the back with 60 non revs. They just want to save that dollar.
They get severe tunnel vision and its up to you to not let them. Buddy passes mostly suck unless you use them for wide open flexible internationa where you'll definately get first class at least one way.

You and your family can get nonrev travel privileges on day 1 as soon as you pay the $50 for the privilege. You will not be allowed buddy passes until you've been at the company a year. Previous posters are correct about them being pretty much worthless.

August the last one's will be put on the seniority list but they will be taking up class spots until November I believe because of their 90 day hold backs.

So, is there any gouge on the training center increasing capacity after August? Back to 100+ per month?
They are only through the middle of April and the pool of CJOs is getting bigger by the week.

With that being said they don't broadcast their intentions for a reason. They have to be nimble. I imagine once the summer is over and the training backlog clears a little there will be large classes again but who knows. If/when they buy those e190s from Boeing they will have to fill them somehow and the 73 and 7er fleets are still short handed.

Anyone here have experience with Mil Leave as a new hire? I interviewed in May and was told to expect late July to early August Indoc but I think it will probably be closer to September now. I am Palace Chasing in August to a C-130 unit (no C-130 experience) and will have to take Mil Leave for the full initial qual course at Little Rock which will be 4-5 months plus seasoning so probably 8-9 months total. The guard unit seams pretty flexible so I don't think there will be a problem getting through IOE before going to Little Rock, but they've been deployed so no communication on timeline. At some point while I'm on probation I'll have to take several months of Mil Leave which isn't the most ideal situation, but at this point I'm still on cloud 9 on getting the CJO! Any thoughts on approximately how long after Indoc I should tell my guard unit would be a good time to attend the C-130 training?
