I agree. There just isn't anywhere near the 717 flying out of LAX right now to justify the churn it would cause just to save an almost insiginificant amount of hotel costs.

Anybody know what interview date they are up to for the march 16 class? I interviewed on 2/11 and have not gotten a call yet. They said it was possible that a few from our interview date may be offered the 3/16 class.

Hey guys, this was touched on way back around page 237 or so, but has anyone used their macbook during training? Im told they provide you with a windows disc but i have concerns trying boot camp for the first time (having any drivers issues etc), while obviously trying to focus on the training material at hand.

Is the usb training info just for indoc or is this how they provide AC specific training as well? I know some training material is on deltanet.

Trying to decide if its necessary to purchase a new windows laptop just for training.

Thanks for your response!

I just finished INDOC and used my macbook air for all the USB stuff. Also using it for the AC specific training now as I wait to start sims. I downloaded parallels and loaded windows that way and it works like a champ. And yes, Delta will give you a copy of Windows to load. I've used bootcamp in the past but didn't like it as I had to completely reboot the computer to use windows. With parallels, it's just another window open on my normal mac desktop. YMMV but I've found it to be VERY easy and convenient. Much better than buying a bottom of the line laptop just to run the USB lessons IMO.

+1 for parallels on a Mac. Works like a champ in coherence mode. Basically you can't even tell the Windows program is not a Mac App. It may slow down your computer a little while running, but when I upgraded from 4GB to 8GB of RAM it helped a lot.

WAY cheaper than a new computer, especially if you use the free copy of windows the company hands out.
