How long are new hire seat/equipment locked? Can you switch domicile as soon as you can hold it or is there some freeze. Thx

One year lock on equipment for a new hire (two years for subsequent equipment, unless due to displacement); locks don't apply if bidding into a new category or first-time captain upgrade.

No freeze on base. I don't think it's still true, but last year through about September, many new hires were getting NYC and bidding over to ATL before they even got done with indoc. I think a few even got out west in a similar move (NYC awarded, SLC/LAX before training complete). As I say, though, I haven't seen or heard of that more recently than about September--someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong!

1 year equipment lock. No restrictions on changing domicile.
You can get out of the 1 year lock to bid into a new category like some guys recently did for SEA.
