How fast can you bid out of New York and down to Atlanta on the 7ER and the 73? I have had buddies that got out during training on everything else.

Even if you get Atl in an AE during training, you should be prepared to spend a little time in NY. I can only speak to the 320, but guys in the Oct/Nov AEs had conversion months of Feb. The conversion month is when you actually move. So even though they "got Atl during training" they're still in NY til Feb.

Jan 5th drop; all to NYC as stated.

7ER-18
73N-14
320-13
88-23
717-13

That's 81 total; no idea if that's how many people will actually be in class on Monday.

Another (former) Buff driver here. Just got the interview invite on 28 Dec. Haven't called them back yet because my availability is a big unknown. Hoping to have a better guestimate next week.

Delta wants u. Call them ASAP and set up an interview. If u get the job and u can't take the first class they offer u then u can mil differ. Ur giving up seniority by not calling. Don't be that guy who doesn't cash in a winning lottery ticket.

Other b52 guy who asked about Delta sim prep, u need to call Emerald coast asap and at least do a webinar. Aero crew solutions is also supposed to be good. Either way u need formal interview prep and u need to read some trip reports and u need them now.

Make sure u get into ur flight school pubs, aero for naval aviators, AFI 11-217, get a Lumosity acct, and do happy neuron the week before ur interview.

Don't they clearly ask about availability on the initial app though? And then again in the interview?

If you put a realistic date on the app and they offer you an interview, that's 100% above board. But if you claim you can be available much, much sooner than you knew all along you will be available, well that's not a chair squirm I'd want to do in an interview suit.

Just be straight forward with them from the beginning and if they offer you an interview take it. But don't try to sneak into one and then pull a parlamentary procedure trick after the fact just to "lock in" the offer. That's pretty silly, and likely something they wouldn't like.
