DAL Poolie Info
#305
Was wandering the hallways at the training center and saw they have what appears to be the last furlough return class setup to start tomorrow. Can't wait to see the names posted on the walls for the new hires.

Now I find more friend's names on the "last flight west" list in the ALPA mag.

Couple quick bits of info and a question or two...
I got picked up in the Dec 18-19 interview class. Active military retiring. For the chart made by MikefromMT we had 7 of 8 make it, but then I heard 2 or 3 were held back due to second day psych interview. I also heard someone say the dates listed for possible class dates on that chart were for Compass, Mesa and Endeavor flows. If that is the case... any idea what a possible training date might be for an off the street hire from 18 Dec? The hiring people were great, but very vague on that when I asked. I heard "late Spring-early Summer", as well as "plan on early Spring".
And...I know some people discussed MSP, but how about SLC? Any idea how long it would take to make it out there, even on reserve? I'm planning on NYC for a couple years on either an 88 or a 717. And is the "plug" the last reserve guy or the last line holder?
Very grateful and happy to be hired by Delta.

HTBH,
Thanks for the Dec 18 info. To clarify the chart, as of Dec 18 you have 191 guys ahead of you in the pool. This number is imperfect because: 1) SSP guys are mixed in like off the street, but are not pulled out of the pool like off the street. Street hires are first in first out, while SSP are pulled out selectively to accommodate their contract with DAL of being 1/3 of off the street hires in every month of class. If I had exact numbers of SSP in each day, I would have taken them out of this list but I have not received good info on many of their days. 2) There are a number of mil guys who are postponing class and these handful of delays may move you up a bit. 3) Indy heard of a few guys who left the pool for SWA, etc. so there is likely some advancement there.
It's nice to hear estimates in the first half of the year though! Because by the chart, it sure looks like the first half of the year will only reach a Nov 11 hire.
Congrats!
If anyone has any tips on making the chart more accurate let me know.
