So, good source or not, I think your post is on the money.
It is funny how, right before the flood-gates opened, AK sent out a letter that still said 300 new hires for 2014.

But anyone with their ear to the ground always knew 600 was the "unofficial" real number. 1000 is way mo betta.

Thanks!
I don't know the break down of OTS vs flows in many of the classes. They drained the OTS pool pretty quickly so it seems like a lot of OTS. IF anyone knows let me know and I'll input the info.

Actually, that is a big leg up from where we were when I got hired (and I know the people ahead of me were in the same boat). The first year pay was $2000/month for the first year and second year pay was anywhere (on C2K) from $78/hour on Express to $100+ on the 88 and 737-800.

Are the uniforms payroll deducted or out of pocket?

Default uniforms

The uniforms are out of pocket. There are three vendors around the campus that all charge around $400, without shoes. You could just buy a hat and coat and get the rest at Men's Wear house or something, I suppose.

Spring for a decent uni, people notice. You'll feel better. No ragamuffin suit.
