DAL Poolie Info

Know a guy who was a Dec hire who got his CTT in early April, and another early Feb who's still waiting on his. When asked, AKs office said they had been running a little behind, and they reiterated that no news is good news. The message was that if you had not heard something (bad) by now, then you should be GTG. Our hiring group avg was 48-49 days. Hope that helps ...

This was over on the Hiring thread:
"DAL just moved up my interview from mid June to May 13th. They added several new interview dates in May and are filling them today. Sounds like they are ramping up again! for those of you interviewing in June, check your email and reserve your new interview date today."
Makes you wonder if the ramping up will include more Indoc dates for May (26th?) and June/July (3/4 classes?). Can the pipeline support that, or do the sim instructors have to fly the line in the summer?

Training locales
Is there training anywhere other than ATL and MIA (717)? Is anybody going to MIA right now? I've heard they've contracted out training in the past, so curious if anybody has any intel.

This contract changed the summer bid periods to 30 days from 31, eliminating an extra day off for reserves. This doesn't sound like much, but it had a significant effect on summer manning requirements. In fact, the most manning-limited month this year was March, not a summer month.
This manning concession may very well make it possible to keep instructors in the sim over the summer. However, I have also heard that manning will be "critical" on NB fleets.
