If you're just trying to count bodies for 2014, it'll be right around 200 flows from Mesaba and Compass. I think that will take care of Mesaba's flow eligible pilots, but Compass will start again in the fall due to the rolling 12 month maximum. The flows are a hard count, not a percentage. The Endeavor SSP is a percentage.

So, if you're looking at the rumors of 600ish (don't know if that includes the furlough recalls - I tend to think not) pilots being hired this year, only about 200 will be flows.

I thought the first new hire classes didn't start until January. That would put CPZ at their 25% cap in June (not including hold back time) and then no more for the rest of 2014. How will they start over in the fall?

I guess you're correct if you're looking at actual occupied seats in Atlanta.

Flow letters will go out again in the fall with class dates and holdbacks starting in January.

Compass flows were held back a couple months. Their yearly limits are expected to be reached in Sept

You are both correct though. The hold backs is correct however what gloopy said is also true, about the classes starting in January ('on paper'). So the annual reset is January 3 and not the hold back date of March 3 for the first class.

Update to pilot requirement from hiring acquaintance.
As of yesterday, 1002 new bodies needed by the end of 2015.
370 for modeled attrition
632 for expected mainline growth

Just FYI
