So you're critiquing other FOs based on what? Personal opinion? If you're as young as you insinuate, it certainly isn't based on experience. You can admit you don't know what you're talking about here.

Meh, I just don’t think it’s very professional to just start into a checklist without it being called for. Atleast pimp the Captain for it. Yes the Captain talked to him and it’s not the first time I’ve seen it happen. Point is, quit being in a damn rush people. I love how all the young/newly hired people are getting butt hurt about this.

Back in the day, we were more formal:

F/O: “May it please Your Airworthiness...the checklist awaits.”

CA: “Very good, your Airmanship...let it be done.”

F/A: “Two sugars and one cream, Sir?”

CA: “Make it so, Most Excellent Stewardess.”

Is this really an issue? I'm pretty sure if the captain just said "hey, do you mind waiting to run the checklist until I call for it?" No FO would have an issue with it!

The only person butt hurt is you, the one complaining that people are moving too fast.

And most CA say to read it when you're ready.

As a new 88 FO I always looked forward to the moment in the first day when the Capt would look at me, incredulous that I didn't know that he wanted the checklist read when it was time/that I didn't know he wanted the checklist read only after he called for it.

Personally I gave zero F's, tell me what you want and I'll do it.

In your case, might I suggest you mention to your FOs how you want it done?

Never seen this. I've just gotta wonder who the heck you're flying with...

So AMR and UAL are losing $ on their collective 100 B777s? Why not park them.
