I personally used Aerocrew and a second service who i can not fully recommend, and I highly recommend Aerocrew. There are a lot of good services out there though.

I (and several guys I know) used Cage consulting. We all got hired on the first interview. Highly recommended using someone if for no other reason than you have the peace of mind of knowing you’ve done everything you could. Good luck!

Recency Question
All, question regarding recency. As a current/qualified F-22 instructor pilot, my recency is not quite up to the 100 hrs/year. I have averaged about 70-ish/year for the last couple years. Thoughts from the mob regarding whether or not checking out a cessna to get over that 100 hr mark will make a difference in getting a call (or if) sooner?
Other relevent stats: TT is about 1800 (All UPT/Single Seat Fighter, 1600 PIC/370 Instructor)/Master Degree/USAFA graduate/no skeletons/etc...

Unless someone with verifiable credibility can tell you it's not necessary, I would personally go rent something cheap. Would hate to lose hundreds of numbers after 4000 have already recently been hired just to gamble that a few thousand dollars would be wasted. Decent way to show you're motivated to do what it takes to get hired, too, once you find yourself in front of the hiring panel. You couldn't control your USAF flying, but you can control this in prep for a new career.
I know people who were in non flying positions seem to be needing to put in a little time at the regionals. But by a little time, I don't think they spend much time off of IOE, they just needed to get current and the time. I know you'd much rather not have to stop through a regional if you can avoid it.

During the interview they asked about my lack of hours in the last year - I had 130ish hours fighter time...and 40 hours in my RV-8. I used it as an opportunity to explain that 130 hours in 8 months was tough and that I volunteered to take jets to depot, airshows, etc. I then explained I flew GA as well - that parlayed into a good discussion on tailwheel flying, etc.
Lastly, from filling out the app - they really don’t ask flight time in a way to break out your last 12 months per aircraft type...just total time lookback. I’d rent that Cessna.
