Exactly. All the majors have someone 55-62 in every class or two, based on the reports here. Early 50s is common. Average age seems to be running early 40s.

I see it a little differently at Delta. I was the oldest in my class at 50. I looked back pretty far and 50 and older was pretty rare (about every 5 or 6 classes). With the very occasional 60ish year old. About two times per year but definitely does happen. I think the average age is closer to 35 with so many 25ish year olds bringing down the average.

Ages 26-55. Median age 42.

Here what the SW thread reported:
As already stated, there are a handful of people under 30. Most classes the youngest is 33-34ish though, with a spread up to upper 50’s and occasionally 60’s.
Also, someone with SW did a count on the seniority list. Only about a dozen pilots in their 20s. All were hired in the last year.
