the point was if you had things that could make you look better, why wouldn't you

I had a wicked step mother that sent me off to boarding school. I guess that makes me a privileged white kid with no work ethic. We were required to volunteer in the community thought so maybe that will add points. But I didn't work through college either. Sorry. Do I even have a chance?

I am sure this has been beat to death somewhere on this forum but for clarification:
Landings: for applications that ask for it, only log landings you were the pilot actually manipulating the controls.
Instrument Approaches: log all instrument approaches in crewed airplanes (regardless if PF or PNF).
Sound right for airline applications?

Hi all, been lurking for awhile now, this is my first post. I have had a Delta application in for a couple of months now (I am not available to work until a couple months from now as well). I feel I am qualified to enter Delta directly from military service, but could use some help figuring out what to do until if/when I get an interview.
Some info about me: Mil IP/EP, 3800+ TT, 2500+ Turbine PIC, Only 450 multi-engine turbine, rest is single engine PC-12.
Assuming I don't get a Delta interview for 6-12 months after separating from USAF, what can I do to make myself more attractive to them? Would working for a regional make it better or worse? Are there regionals or some other kind of flying I could do that does not carry a commitment? I'd hate to get locked in to a regional for 2-3 years and get the call from Delta 1 month after starting that commitment. I have enough savings to sit around for 6+ months unemployed, but that probably doesn't look good either. Thanks in advance.

Been waiting for delta to call since 2000. Was told any day now then 911 happened. Now me and many of my coworkers that slaved away for dlcx and even ones that went overseas etc are invisible. Those called these days definitely are lucky for sure. You have no idea...

Are you saying I should take a regional job ASAP, or saying that a regional job might make me invisible after a couple of years? Or are you talking to someone else?
If I am not interviewed after 12 months of waiting I will obviously take whatever job I can get - even if it is not flying related. Delta is where I want to be, however.

I'd definitely consider a 121 regional. You get to stay current, check the 121 box, and there is generally no commitment. In some cases you might not earn the full signing bonus for leaving early, but you won't care if you're leaving for a Major.
